This dipole was designed specifically for POTA and SOTA applications. The antenna resonates on 7.090 MHz and weighs only 300 grams.

The THS LW40 dipole does not include a balun and we recommend that a choke is used on the coaxial cable at the radio to avoid RF interference.
The antenna is rated at 100 watts SSB and 80 watts FT8

At The Ham Shack, we have over 40 years of experience in installing and building HF Amateur Radio systems, and we bring that expertise to every wire dipole antenna we craft. Designed and tested specifically for New Zealand conditions, our antennas offer unbeatable performance for both home use and field operations.
Our dipoles are constructed using premium 24×0.2mm stranded wire (18/19 AWG), which provides excellent conductivity and flexibility. The wire is finished with durable red PVC insulation, making it weather-resistant and perfect for long-term outdoor use. Each antenna is finished with heat shrink at the key connection points for added protection and reliability.
Currently we have the 40m POTA/SOTA option available, that are made and ready to purchase. Don't fret though, if you are wanting something else, just send us an email to discuss and we are happy to put something together for you. e.g. any single HF frequency.
