Build Your Own Antenna at The Ham Shack! Introducing Our New Antenna Building Workshops
Have you just passed your amateur radio exam through a Ham Cram session and earned your license? Congratulations – now it's time to get on the air! One of the first (and most important) steps is getting your antenna set up. That’s where we come in.
The Ham Shack is proud to introduce our brand-new Antenna Building Workshops, designed for both new and experienced operators who want to build, understand, and use their own antennas.
What’s Included in the Antenna Building Workshop?
Choose from a range of antenna kits when you sign up (e.g. dipoles, verticals, end-feds)
Join us for a hands-on workshop session at The Ham Shack, located in North Canterbury
Bring all tools and materials on the list, however if you don't have the item you will be able to use ours.
Build your antenna with expert guidance and support
Have it tested and tuned so it’s ready to use before you leave
Whether you're setting up your first station or adding something new to your setup, this is a perfect way to learn more about how antennas work—and walk away with one that’s built by you.
